Proceno 2 bedroom (CASTCOR)

The Castello di Proceno, dating from the 12th century, is a rare example of a medieval fortification surviving in its original state. Its pentagonal base incorporates a main tower and two secondary towers interconnected by walkways and a drawbridge that is one of 19 still working in Italy.

A fort attached to one side of the castle by the town's defensive walls now houses three apartments, Although they share a common access and a path through the gardens to the swimming pool, each one is completely independent and has its own private outdoor area from which guests may enjoy the peace and the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
Another part of the complex includes a medieval courtyard around which are the rest of the apartments and suites located in a tower of the old defensive wall. The apartments are connected to the pool area by an ancient tunnel under the castle.
Access to this apartment is through a gate that opens onto the furnished garden and courtyard to the side of the castle. The apartment develops at ground floor and private entrance is into the spacious living/dining room with fireplace and kitchen corner. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas range and fridge. Through an ancient brick arch in the living room is a hall with doors to the double bedroom, to the twin-bedded room and to the complete bathroom with shower. The apartment has its furnished garden area near the entrance door. This is one of the apartments connected to the pool area by an ancient tunnel dug in the rock under the Castle and that begins in one side of the courtyard. There is a combination safe.
